Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that seeks to enhance the aesthetic appearance while correcting any functional problems of the Labia Minora (small interior lips) or Labia Majora (larger exterior lips). The procedure focuses on size adjustments for both areas, either caused by a genetic condition or substantial weight loss, as well as functional issue, which may cause the patient pain or discomfort during intercourse.

Labiaplasty Minora

For this procedure the focus is on the labia minora, which is more commonly referred to as the interior vaginal lips. The procedure allows Dr. Jennifer Jose to reduce the size or reshape the labia minora whilst at the same time remove any dark pigmentation in that area, which is a source of concern for many women.

Labiaplasty Majora

The Labia Majora Plasty focuses on reducing the size of the Exterior Vaginal Lips by getting rid of the excess fat and tightening/lifting the skin there. This dramatically enhances the aesthetic appearance of the vagina making it look years younger. This procedure is suitable for women of all ages as the increased size of the Exterior Vaginal Lips can be caused by a variety of factors, ranging from genetics, hormonal imbalances, substantial weight loss or the side effects from child birth. It is also important to note that from a genetic standpoint, women are more susceptible to accumulating fats in that area.

Procedure

The patient is placed under mild sedation by a registered anesthesiologist. Re-absorbable sutures are used, which disappear after a short time. Furthermore the downtime from this procedure is minimal and patients return to normal activities almost immediately.
