Nerve Regeneration Therapy (NRT) is a breakthrough technique for treating patients suffering from Chronic & Neuropathic pains that are non-responsive to traditional pain medications, physical therapy or other interventional procedures.

The first step is the accurate diagnosis of the peripheral nerve and its branches via Musculoskeletal Ultrasound. Chronic constriction sites are identified through Ultrasound as they appear as a swollen area of the peripheral nerve preceded by a constricted segment of the nerve. 

Ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve hydro dissection is then carried out to displace the nerve from the impingement using dextrose water solution. The relief from pain is immediate after the impinged peripheral nerve is released.

An important point to note is that it usually takes multiple sessions to ensure the complete release of the impinged nerve and reduce the likelihood of any reoccurrence of the injury. After the course of treatment, Ultrasound is again carried out to check the status of the peripheral nerve.
